Husband James was re-baptized 13 May 1888 at Alpine the same day he was ordained an Elder. Family went to Mexico 21 Feb 1893. The family went first to Colonia Juarez, Mexico after leaving Alpine, Arizona early 1893. In December of 1897 the family moved from Juarez to Colonia Oaxaca, Mexico. They moved from Oaxaca in June 1907 to Pacheco, Mexico. The family was among the Saints who were driven from their homes in Mexico at the time of the Mexican Revolution. They settled 1st in El Paso, Texas and later near Whitewater, Cochise, Arizona. #7 John W., Baptism recorded 4 Jul 1890 on T.I.B. & Whitewater Ward Records. Alpine Ward, where event occurred, records 3 June 1890. #8 George F. Mortenson served as a Minuteman in the Black Hawk War. #8 George and his 1st wife, Edith WESTERN, were sealed 17 Sep 1904 at Dublan, Mexico by President Anthony Ivins. They are said to have been the last couple sealed in old Mexico. #8 George, buried Whitewater, Cochise, Arizona. Bush Valley is now Alpine in Apache County, Arizona. BURIAL: Whitewater Ward Cemetery
