NOTES: He served as representative in the Kentucky legislature from Jassamine County in th 1840's. He moved his family to Mo. in spring of 1850, at that time J.H. was his youngest child. They lived on a farm near Lees Summit, Mo. when Joseph was killed at his home by guerrillas, possibly by raiders in favor of slavery, never knew.....
