    2. John Higgins was mentioned in George Washington's diary of August 7, 1769 when Washington engaged John Higgins to board his coach horses.
    3. John was the original owner of a building lot in Bath (now Berkley Springs).
    4. George Washington had two lots about three blocks from John Higgins and Judiah Higgins, John's brother.
