Will Probated in May Court in Barran Co., Ky. A John Field is listed as an executor to a Will for Cornelius Gilliam written 12 October, 1819 and Probated May 1832. As stated in the Will he was from Albemarle Co. Va. and his wife’s name was Sarah. Executors besides John Field were John Wood, Jesse Wood Sr and Jesse Wood Jr. John Field born 1774 and died 1833. John was in the 8th Regiment of the Virginia militia. He married Sally Wood. As John, Jesse Sr, and Jesse Jr. were witnesses to the above Probate as was John Field, it is assumed that this John Field is the brother of Robert M . Field Jr., who (Robert) is known to have been born in Albamarle Co., Va. and to have died i n Barren Co., Kentucky. This will places John Field in Barren County, Kentucky in 1832 along with his wife whose maiden name was Wood.
