Theron Spencer Provance is buried in the Hopwood Ross Cemetery behind his childhood home, Theron and Susan Overholt Provance homestead. His life work was a building contractor. The home he built where his sons Theron Spencer, Jr. and Harold La Clair were born, is still standing in Chalk Hill, Fayette, Pennsylvania. It is a gift shop now and is located behind the Stone House Restaurant Bed and Breakfast. Pictures of he and his two sons and the home he built are hangingon the wall of the Stone House as a tribute to him.

Jessie Olive Nelson Provance died sitting in a rocking chair beside her husband of 54 years, Theron Spencer Provance, Sr. who had a stroke several months before. She died in her sleep. Theron Spencer, died 54 hours later and they had a double funeral on 12 October, 1966. They are buried in the Hopwood Ross Cemetery behind their home on Coolspring Rd, Hopwood. This cemetery is located behind the early childhood home of Theron Spencer Provance, Sr. His parents and many of his brothers and sisters are buried there.
