Harry Johnston & Son, funeral dir] 1850 Fed Census for Indiana Co., PA lists a "James Miller" witha 9/12ths yr. old male, Isaiah1880 - 12th June- Fed Census -240 Morgantown St., Union Twp.,Fayette Co., PA ED 54 ; S.D.8, Pg. 24; [Sarah is going by"Elizabeth", apparently her nephew, Ernest is boarding withthem.]Came to Uniontown in 1872Bought Lot # 9 of Jacob's 2nd addition, tore down the oldbuildiings & built a brick house for "Elizabeth"..She died therein 1890The Laughead, Modisett & Co. Planing Mill, in which he was apartner burned, 12 May 1897.......the worst blow of it's kind tobefall Uniontown.The Evening Standard stated that I.W. White was unable to attendto business from a slight attack of typhoid fever [this was themonth after wife's death]Spent 1901 thru 1905 in CA, primarily Riverside Co.1920 Fed Census for Uniontown City, Fayette Co., Part of 6thWard; ED 105; Sheet 1-A; SD 21; line 42 [able to read & write,both parents born in PA, retired.....living at 112 East MainSt.]- this is also the address of the Grocery business.Had 7 grandchildren at time of his deathWill [written 3 Mar 1920] Proved 21 Apr 1922..property leftequally between wife, son Arthur & dau.
