Born 26 Aug 1894 on farm home 1/2 mile west, second house west on the south side of the road, of Riverside School District No. 6, 10 miles north of Tekamah, Silver Creek Township, Burt County, Nebraska, to Oscar Maurice HENNIG and Lena Amelia (WOODARD) HENNIG.  Within four years after Frederick's birth, their home was moved 1/4 mile further west to a farmstead on the south side of the road.  He attended through the 8th grade at Riverside School District No. 6, located one mile south of the current location (1999), and in the fall of 1906 attended school in the new Riverside School building (current location).  There was no rural High School at that time, so in 1913 and 1914 he attended Boyles Buisness College in Omaha with several other boys in the area.

Frederick (Fred) married Willma Esther ELLIOTT 21 Aug 1918, with Claude Seymore HENNIG (1899-1986) and Ruth ELLIOTT, brother and sister, as witnesses.  They lived on his grandfather's, F.M. HENNIG, homestead farm just west of the Riverside School, where two children were born, Robert Morris 5 Jul 1919, and Erwin Kenneth 21 Nov 1921.  They lived there until 1926 when they moved to his father's, Oscar Maurice HENNIG, farm 1/2 mile further west.  He farmed this land and 80 acres of Missouri River bottomland about 1-1/2 miles east that belonged to his uncle, William Albert HENNIG (1864-1945).  In 1948, they moved to a farm called the "Morrow Place" they owned, located 1/3 mile north of the Riverside School on U.S. Highway 75.  He lived there with his wife Willma until his sudden death from a heart attack on 19 Jan 1965.

He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church, served as church treasurer for 30 years, trustee for many years, and Deacon for several years.
