trip of 250 miles.)  - Acquired them and a wife in Cedar Rapids  In 1859
married Mary Horsky, born in Vienna, Austraia, on Jan 3, 1845.  Woman of
similar values and commitment to life, to marriage and to country. She was 14
yrs old, he 32 yrs old.  -They started a productive life together; however he
waited untill she was 17 years of age to start a family."
