REFERENCE: SHED, FRANK E., 1921, Daniel Shed Genealogy; p. 54-57 discusses his fathers family, and on page 56 shows Ebenezar to be viii child of second wife Lydia Farley, being born in Billerica, Mass. His father's first wife was killed by Indians. P. 65, Ebenezar was born but a few years after the terrible
Indian massacare that so devestated the paternal home. He was a housewright by trade, but he probably also followed farming since the records shows that he owned considerable land on or near the base of Prospect Hill in what is now Somerville. His name appears on the tax lists of Charleston from 1727 to 1766, except in 1738-9 and 1762. He died 17 Apr 1770 in Charleston, age seventy-five years, according to his gravestone in the old Cambridge Cemetery near Harvard Square.
