OBITUARY, 31 Oct 1946, Burt County Plaindealer, Tekamah, Nebraska; born on his
father's homestead, ten miles north of Tekamah, Nebraska on 23 Aug 1872.  He
received his early education in the schools of Burt County, Nebraska and
Northwestern College of Shenandoah, Ia. and for manay years was a teacher in
the public schools of Burt County, near Decatur and Lyons.  Leaving the
teaching profession, he became a farmer and for almmost forty years resided on
a part of the old homestead near the place where he was born.  Besides his wife
and five sons he leaves to mourn his loss one brother, A.L. Hennig of Tekamah,
and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Leaming of Denver, Colo.

Obituary of Mrs. Rena HENNIG, Burt County Plaindealer, 19 Sep 1963.  Born 6
Jun 1875, in Page County, Iawo, moved with her family to Burt County, Nebraska,
at the age of 13, here she attended school and grew to womanhood.  3 Feb 1895,
she was married to Theodore HENNIG, and they had five sons.  She was preceded
in death by her husband, a son Loren; three sisters, Jane, Eva  and Lilly, and
eight brothers, George, Dave, Seif, Grant, Sherm, Link, Nick and Bert.
Surviving her are her sons, Carroll and Sidney of Decatur, and LLoyd and
Clayton of Tekamah; sister, Mary E. Beck of Winfred, South Dakota.

and four brothers, Carrol, Loren, Sidney and Clayton.

school, high school at Decatur and business college at Fremont.  His main
occupation was farming and he resided in the Decatur and Tekamah rural
communities.  A member of the Odd Fellows Lodges in Tekamah since 1959.  He
leaves to mourn his wife, Lenora, son Jack of Loveland, Colorado, and daughter
Mrs. William Heyer of Fremont, California.
