August Treptow's testament signed 26 Aug 1907 at Kolberg (Korlinerstrasse 33) states his first wife Friederike Treptow born Timm, has a married son called Wilhelm Timm, farmer at Ithaca, Nebraska.

Meta Marie Noerenberg (1901-1997), Granddaughter of August Christian Frederick Treptow (1839-1920) provided 14 Nov 1971 to Herman A. Reim (1892-1973) data on the Treptow family births, marriages, children and deaths. Listed is Friedericka Wilhelmina Bentow (1830-1905) as wife of August C.F. Treptow (1839-1920); other genealogical records show Bentow to be a Timm. This discrepancy is unexplained at this time; 21 May 1996, KMR.

NOERENBERG, William, 15 Feb 1937; autobiography. Lists name Bentow as Benlow, birth place as Nicklenz, whereas, in REIM's reference noted as Neflenz, died 27 Jun 1905. In the autobigraphy on page 6 it states Wilhelm Timm was adopted by August Treptpow and belonged to the family. TREPTOW, family group record; lists name as Friedericka W. BENLOW.

TREPTOW Pedigree Chart provided Kenneth M. Reim by Kathryn R. Stevens, 7 Jul 1997 shows Friedericke Wilhelmine BENLOW to have been born 12 Jan 1830 in Neuldenz, and died 29 Jun 1905, Ithaca, Nebraska.

Letter from Erna (TREPTOW) SABIROWSKY (1894-19 ) in German dated 23 Aug 1964, Elberfeld, Wuppertal, Westphalia, Germany, to Alma Dorothea (Dorothy) (NOERENBERG) HAEHLEN (1906-1995), translated in English, States "Friedericka Wilhelmine Timm, mother of my father, born in Kolberg, Ithaca/America or Neiklanz near Koslin, also in Pommerania". Note Neiklanz here is spelt with an "a" instead of an "e".
