The Descendants of James Cole 1633 -- E. B. Cole George Arnold Cole was Captain of a passenger steamer between Liverpool and New York; and carried the first steamship through the straits of Magellan. He was Captain of U.S. Transport during the Civil War. At the close of the war he was made inspector of kerosene in Providence, R.I. which position he held until his death.
