       Andrew was a ship carpenter - removed from Antrim, Ireland to Boston, Massachusetts in 1722.  There he wrought a while at his trade and where his son, John was born - whence he moved to Voluntown, Connecticut and took up land.
       He was of middling stature, thickset, not black eyes, but dark complexion - of good talents, a devout Presbyterian - of Scotch ancestry.  He lost his recollection before he died - felt lost and wanted to go away.
       His wife, Margaret, of dark complexion, black eyes and small stature.

       John Hunter was larger than his brother, Robert, not as dark complexioned, as active in body, but not in public business.  By trade a wheelwright - had a farm in Voluntown, Connecticut - prayed standing.
       In 1782, his wife received a quit claim deed of Gain Miller of Samuel Hunter's right in Susquehanna lands.  His wife, Rebecca, a congregationalist, and long a worthy member.
       John became pastor of the church in Canaan, Connecticut in 1761.  He moved to Stillwater, Saratoga County, New York in 1763.  He and Rebecca were among the early settlers of Saratoga.  They settled in New York, near Round Lake, now Malta.

       Robert Hunter was a weaver, of small stature, but of superior mind and devoutly pious, a warm-hearted christian - zealously attached to old divinity in opposition to the new.  Much honored by his fellow citizens in church and state - several times a member of Congress.
       He taught school, mended shoes for Joseph Hopkins - some manuscripts extant.  He had seven children, only two were married, the others died of lung fever at about twenty years.
