Warren Land Records, Bk. 3, p. 64: February 3, 1792, William Stone, "In consideration of the support of & maintenance of me & my wife Martha during our natural lives," deed land to Bradock Carter and Martha his wife, "except my household furniture & Waring Apparel & my wive Waring Apparel." In addition he gives two cos, seven sheep, and one horse, "during our natural lives," the cows go to Marchant Stone Carter when term is expired. April 10, 1793, the above agreement is given up, and Bradock Carter and William Stone relinguish all claims on another "from the beginning of the world to the present time." It seems Braddok moved his family to New York before 1800, perhaps Warren, then Jefferson County. They lived in Brownville, Jefferson County. Ezra Parish, son of nathan, left a statement made in 1844 naming Aunt Martha Carter, uncle Braddock Carter, Cousin Sarah Carter and Cousin Zina Carter, all of whom were dead in 1844. There may be another connection between the Parishes and Carters other than the marriage of Martha (Patty) Carter to Rufus. (He also named his Aunt Rosanora Ellis and uncle Henry Watt.)
