John Steeves PARISH (PARRISH)
1850 Census, Cape Vincent 807-404 284-285 Civil War discharge papers John and Maria were married at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Cape Vincent. He served in Co. B 7th Regiment Iowa Infantry. He contract rheumatism while in the sevice (presumably rheumatic heart disease) and died at age 40. They were buried together in Oak Hill Cemetery next to Joel and plooy, Warren and Marilla Parish.

Charles was a farmer, well driller and worked a stone quarry on the Parish homestead. He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery by his wife, Phoebe.
