After Charles Fremont Parrish died, his son, John Glenn at age 13 went to work to support the family. He became a cabinet maker. Later he became a sales manager for Crowell-Collier Publishing Co. and retired in Springfield, Pennsylvania. John was buried in Washington Memorial Park near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
