                      INFO.:  Genealogy of the Descendants of John Walker by "Enna Siggins
            White.  This John and a brother Alexander and a sister Elenore
            came to America in 1726 with there Uncle John Walker and Katherine
            Rutherford, it is not known if there parents were dead or what, it
            is believed there fathers name was Alexander.  John and his brother
            Alexander's parents were John Walker and Alexander's parents names
            were John Walker and Jane McKnight of Wigtown, Scotland.

   BOOK.:  929.23 V 234 Genealogy of Vale, Walker and other related famalies,
            have copy some of the page's in my walker file.

   LETTER.:From Margaret Hall Robinson, 2217 Hickory Valley Rd. Chattanogoa,
            TN. 37421-2443.  Recieved contact with her after entering a Qurie
            in the Walker Newsletter.

   BOOK.:  Call #?, Appendix A of the Walker, Baker, Campbell, Vance by Mariam
            Luke of Covington, Ind. sent to me by Florence Elliott, copy of some.
            of the pages in my file.

   WILL.:  Probated 3 Oct 1797, it lists his wife as Margaret and also their
            children.

   BOOK.:  Appendix A Wlaker, Baker, Campbell, Vance by Mariam Luke
            Covington, she was a Certified Genealogist, some of her
            pages she has, During the Revolution John's wife was tried
            for being a Troy, and was charged with "speaking words
            mentioning the power and authority of the King and Parliament
            of Great Britian over the Colonies".  She was found guilty
            sentenced to close goal four days and fined 15 pounds and 10
            shillings.
   Buried. Also from the same source it is said John and his wife were
            Buried at New Porovidence Presbyterian Church Cem.  Another
            source says they were buried on a farm near Walker's Creek.
