NOTES:
    Francis' eldest son a d daughter came to America and earned the money to pay their father's voyage here. Together, they toiled to earn the money necessary to bring the mother and 10 children to New Jersey. The Harpers lived in New Jersey 3 years and one child was born to them there. In 1869, they moved to Romeo, Michigan. Francis was hurt by a falling roof and died 2 days after Thanksgiving in 1879.
