The Vital Records of Humbodlt County do not disclose an Alva/Alvia Peters other than the marriage record. Neither SSDI records nor California Deaths 1940-1997 show a death for Alva. (Perhaps he died before 1940 and was not eligible for Social Security benefits.) The record of California Deaths 1940-1997 did show others of the Peters name born in Humboldt County in the 1890's that were also not listed in the Vital Records of that county. It would appear that this family was not included in the early records of the county. We have used an "about" birth date for him......Bla 09/11/02
