NOTE: William Gifford had eleven childen by his first wife, Hannah or Mary, possibly Mary Wing, and had twelve children by his second wife, Lydia Hatch.
FAMILY: NEHGS 1944: Vol 128,Pg. 255 states that "Amy was the daughter of Lydia as were the five younger children."
MARRIAGE: The NEGHS references cited state that William had 17 children, five by his second wife, Lydia Hatch. The reference also states that Lydia was the mother of Amy and the five younger children..NEGHS reference cited for Obadiah Butler (a son-in-law) also states that his wife was one of the 17 children of William Gifford.
