BIRTH: LTR 422-5 to 9, Copy from RootsWeb WorldConnect. As the dates differ, we elected to use the 1615 date, which is what is in the IGI File. It is also more consistent with the age of his spouse. Also, the date is more consistant with the dates of the birth of his children. This reference also gives some history of their settlement in Massachusettes.

WILL: LTR 422- 9-12, Copy from RootsWeb WorldConnect, gives wife's given name and the name of the following surviving children- Anna, David, Marcy (Mary), Abraham, Robert, and Gershom. All these children are appropriately included on the family group sheet of the immigrant, Robert Haseltine.
BIRTH: LTR 422-9, Copy from RootsWeb WorldConnect has copy of the will of her husband, Robert Haxeltine. this gives her name as Anna (other references use Ann or Anne, but we have chose the will name, which is also the one used in the IGI File.) There is no reference to her surname.

OTHER: There was some question as to which daughter died in infancy, Mary or Mercy. But the will of the father, mentions his daughter Mercy. Therefore she must have been the surviving sibling.

MARRIAGE: AF and the book "Early Settlers of Rowley" shows Roert being married to a Mary Frether in 1709. but he was married to Hannah_______at the time of his death. Records could not be found to determine the birth of death of Mary Frether, so it must be assumed that she died before Robert Haseltine married Hannah. Although many sources did not list Hannah as a spouse, the "Rowley" book points out that his will, dated 27 Feb, 1728-29, mentions Hannah as well as a marriage contract. We have arbitrarily selected abt 1720 as the date for Robert and Hannah to be married.............Bla 01/03/02
