Samuel JUDD

                   BIRTH: Per the Thomas Judd book referenced, she was 87 years and 8 or 9 months old when she deceased, making her birthdate at abt 1663-4.  An extensive search of the NEHGR for all Mary Strongs indicated that there were 4 who could have been this Mary Strong.  The NEHGS book (Thomas Judd) stated that she was the daughter of Thomas Judd and Mary Hewett.  They had a daughter born 1663 that, according to NEHGR 1869: Vol 23, Pg. 295, died the following year.  However, I accounted for all the other Mary/Mari(h)s. All were married and the marriage dates and the deaths of the husbands did not provide for any of them to be remarried during the time that Samuel Judd married (his) Mary/Mariah Strong.  The Thomas Judd book referenced states that Mariah came from a family of 16.  NEHGR 1869:23,295 lists only 15 children.  It is my assumption that Thomas Strong and Mary Hewett had a child named Mariah that is not listed in the NEHGR.  Often, a daughter would be named after the next earlier deceased daughter, in this case, Mary.  Lastly, Mariah (Strong) Judd gave birth to her last child in 1708 per the Thomas Judd book referenced.  If born in 1663, she would have been 45 years old, or at the end of her child bearing years.  My assumption, then, is that she was indeed a daughter of Thomas and Mary Strong, born about 1664..............Bla 02/02/02            (Note: LTR 697 whereby ordinance work has been done with Thomas Strong and Mary Hewett as the parents.)
