                   MARRIAGE: The History of Ancient Wethersfield on Pg.711, which records the vital statistics on Richard Treat and his family, does not mention a second wife, although in a brief footnote (about the marriage of Joanna Treat to John Holliser) it states (on pg. 429) that Joanna is the daughter of Richard Treat's first wife.  So he must have married a second time. The AF has a second wife as Joanna. We have left her in the file, but we have no documentation on her...............Bla 03/28/02
MARRIAGE: The Treat Family referenced, does not show a first wife, and further research does not disclose one.  (I did note that this Richard Treat's grandfather , also named Richard Treat/Trot, was married to a Joanna and perhaps this is what has caused some of the confusion.) A search of the Ordinance Index File did not disclose any cnildren sealed to Reachard Treat and a Joanna, so after final review I removed her from my file..........Bla 07/20/02
