Notes:
Ancestral file shows that Alice Blackwell, daughter of John and Sarah, marrieda William Spooner in Sandwich in 1699.
The Book, William Spooner of Plymouth, Mass and His Descendants (Press of F.W. Freeman, Cincinnati, Ohio, 1883) records on page 34 that the Alice Blackwell whom William Spooner married in 1690 was a Mrs. Alice Blackwell, widow of John Blackwell and daughter of Nathaniel and Sarah (Walker) Blackwell. It would appear that this is actually Alice Blackwell's Mother, Sarah (Alice) Blackwell, who was the daughter of Nathaniel Blackwell and Sarah Walker and the widow of John Blackwell, who died in 1688. However, this William Spooner would have been several years the junior of the widowed Mrs. Blackwell and not likely to marry her. After consideration, we left the ancestral file record stand.
