                   BIOGRAPHY: After a search, Universal Genealogy reported that it was unlikely that Mary's surname or family history would be found.  I had asked them to determine that she (Mary) and Mary Beardsley were not the same person.  The resulting documentation determined that (she was not) as well as the fact that no further work is likely for "Mary."

DEATH: Killed by Indians per the "History of Hatfield" reference.

                   Vital statistics on Ebenezer Belding are found in both the Genealogy of Hadley Families and History of Wethersfield, as referenced.  But there are conflicts.  The latter states that Ebenezer married Abigail_________and had a daughter Martha.  The former says he married a Martha.  As there is a second Ebenezer, who is a are cousin, and who married Abigail Graves, one must assume that the author of the History of Wethersfield got the two confused. It makes genealogical sense for this Ebenezer Belding to have a daughter Martha if he married a woman of that name, so I have left his wife as Martha_________________.........Bla 03/22/02
