                   had property in Egremont, Mass.  29 apr 1765 d. before 7 May 1765.  He immigrated from the east.  He was one of the people who negotiated the Shawenon Treaty with the Mahecan Indians.  He was the 15th on the list of grantees in a deed from the Mahican Indians dated 29 Oct 1765.  The Shawenon Purchase was made a district of the town of Sheffield MS under the name of Egremont, 13 Feb 1760 and incorporated as a separate town in Aug 1775.  Noah drew lot 16 in the second division of lots, 20 Apr 1765.  He drew lot 15 in the third division of lots not dated by prob. 1765.  Mary Shaw's land is described as the south east corner of Noah Blanding's survey of 24 Apr 1759.  Survey of the 2nd dividsion property laid out to Widow Mary Shaw, described as bounded on the south on Widow Blandin's frist division lot, dated 7 May 1765.  Noah Blanding died before this.  From this he had 150 or 200 acres of land in the western edge of Egremont in sout west Mass.  He lived and worked with the Indians.  They were very friendly people.  When the Rev. War started they sent their braveds to fight in support of their friends.
