Bernhard FAUST
This man is the first FAUST of which I have current record, since the 30 years
war. He was ancestor of several Fausts who came to America in 1744. He md a
Catherine. He died in Grunbach and never came to America. The church records,
which are open to anyone for inspection, are in Speyer and Koblenz, and anyone
may examine them. He came from Gruenbach (Grunbach); this town, with
Mannbachal, both of which are suburbs of Baumholder in Pfalz Stadt (the
Palatinate. The term "Palatine" was adopted from the British merchants and
people of Philadelphia whose first contact with the large migrations from
continental Europe to America in the 1700's was with the Palatines (Pfalzer in
German) or people from the Palatinate ("Pfalz"). There is a "Palatines to
America" is a 900+ member organization with hq in Columbus, Ohio. This
organization has held Annual National Conventions in Harrisburg, Penn.

Brother of Heinrich and son of Bernhard FAUST. Born and died in Grunbach.
Never left Germany. AFN K7VB-JV. Nothing found in IGI Gy. 3-31-94. AF says
b. 1696/1697. May have had two other siblings in addition to Heinrich (Henry).
His paternal grandfather may have been Michael FAUST. Large Faust book sais md.
in 1697, almost surely in error. He may have had two additional children, Baby
FAUST and Johan Georg (George) FAUST, the latter of whom was on the same ship
as Abraham in coming to America. Baby Faust is 2012 and Johan Georg is 2010.

Manbachel is a neighboring hamlet of Grunbach. Another b. date is 18 Apr 1685.
Dr. Faust (2nd) credits Henry of written Faust family history. Md in 1711.
Henry died 8 Feb 1732 in Grunbach at age of 46 yrs, 9 mos and 20 days. Wife
Eva's death date is unknown. While living in Grunbach the Faust family
belonged to the German Reformed Church. After coming to America the fausts
soon began to spell their name with an O - FOUST. Chr date and info found on
