NOTE: An exciting and rare find - burial in Iowa US/CAN Book 977.762 V3w p 22, "Mentzer, Eva wf of Samuel Sr. d 2 Nov 1847 72 years." This means that she would be born in 1775. On the Casper Hinkle family record this is the correct year. Two other unknown sources give birth dates as the following 11 Sep 1766 and 9 Nov 1766. If either of these two dates is correct Eva would be several years older than Samuel. Also on information obtained in Pennsylvania it states that after Samuel's death in 1830 Eva married and Daniel Horn then moved to Ohio.
