Merle (Bozarth) Dailey, 93, Coeur d'Alene, passed away Friday, Jan 13 2006, at Loyalton in Coeur d'Alene.
She was born March 26, 1912 in Missoula, Mont., to Oscar and Ollie (Moore) Hoover.  Merle moved in 1916 to Spokane, where she grew up, until marrying Wesley V Bozarth in 1938.  Wesley and Merle bought the Goodie Shop in Coeur d'Alene in 1944 and closed it in 1965.  She went to work in the courthouse in 1967 and retired in 1978.  Merle was a charter member of Soroptomist, and the First Christian Church in Coeur d'Alene.  She enjoyed traveling, photography and art.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie L. Bailey of Rathdrum; and stepdaughter Lavere Shurtleff, Roseville, Calif.
Merle was preceded in death by her first husband, Wesley Bozarth, in 1977, son Larry Bozarth in 1990, and second husband Lawrence Dailey in 2004.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Merle will be interred in Missoula City Cemetery in Montana.  Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
