Mrs Sara Hill dies of Cancer and complications-Lived here forty years
Born in Freeport,Ill in 1851--Survived by two Sons and Two Daughters and Many
other relataives -- Funeral Tomorrow
Mrs Sarah Hill 68 years old, widow of the late Leonard I. Hill, died at 2
o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs A. J. Erickson, of
921 South Helen street of cancer and a complication of deseases,  She had been
ill seven months.
      The late Mr Hill died on July 26, 1904. Mrs Hill was born in Freeport, Ill
on August 25, 1851 and was married to her late husband at Waterloo, Ia on
January 15, 1868.  The couple came to Sioux City in 1878 and had lived her
since.
      Mrs. Hill is survivved by two sons, Edgar Hill and Frank Hill, both of
Sioux City and two daughters, Mrs Erickson and Mrs L.J. Forsberg, of Sioux
City.  Three brothers, J.A. Foye sr., C.H. Foye, sr, and S.W. Foye; three
sisters, Mrs Margaret Adams, Mrs Lillian Adams and Mrs J. McEveny, and
cousin H.R. Deal, also survive.  There are eleven grandchildren and fifteen
great grand children living.
      Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the
residence of the daughter, Mrs Erickson, to the Rustin avenue Methodist church.

There is a conflict on the county Jennie was born in.  the 1885 st census said
Buchanan and the 1895 said Blackhawk.  Her brother William Foye said he was
born in Blackhawk. Informant on death cert of Sister Lillie Foye also said
Lillie  was born in Waterloo,Blackhawk,IA;

Married a second time to Thomas McEveny. Haven't located a marriage.  He is
buried on her lot in Floyd Cemetary,Sioux City,IA. Jenny doesn't have a
headstone there.  Unknown if she is buried there or not.

Name of mother and father given on funeral home record.

1900 Census said mother of 6 wiith three living--Charles May and Harry. have
one child still missing from the sheet. Need to check the state census to see
if I can find one.

Survivors in obit two sons Charles of Sioux City and Harry of Richmond,Ca;
one sister Jenny McEveny.

Wife in obit is named Nellie W. but lists children as Mrs Anna Hawkes and Mrs
Fernella Rosen and one son Ernest O. all of Chicago. Obit said Samuel Foye so
he must have been named William Samuel Foye. Headstone said Samuel Wm. age 76.

Need to search for marriages.

Lillie's obit lists a brother Wallace  and Joe both of Sioux City.  Charles of
California and Jennie and Margaret of Sioux City.  Are Wallace and William and
Samuel all the same person?

Lillie isn't listed in the 1870 federal census in Waterloo,Blackhawk,IA so she
probably wasn't born in 1867.  She is 8 years old in 1880 and would have been
born in 1872 in Iowa.
Need to find in the 1900 Federal Census-Married Nick Kline on 9 Oct 1888 said
she was 18 which would have made her born in 1870.  2nd married Frank Adams
(age 39) license issued 16 Jan 1905.  The marriage was never registered in
Sioux City.  Need to search Sioux City Nebraska to see if the were married
there.  That is where they both said they lived.  Need further research to see
if Frank Adams is related to Albert and G.W. who married Margaret and Jennie
Foye.
