      Funeral services for Irwin Bennett, 88, Mineral Piint, will be held at 2 pm this Thursday afternoon at the Gorgen funeral home.
      Mr. Bennett died Monday night in a Dodgeville hospital.
      A lifelong resident of Mineral Point, he had been retired the past 25 years.
      He was married to the former Stella Rule, who died in 1968.
      Surviving are a sister, Mrs Susan Arthur, one niece and one nephew.

Note there are no children mentioned in this obit or his wifes.

Mrs. Irwin Bennett, 77, Died Last Thursday
      Mrs Irwin H. Bennett, 77, Mineral Point passed away last Thursday in a Dodgeville hospital after a long illness.  Funeral services were held Sunday at the Gorgen Funeral Home.
      Stella Rule was born in the town of Linden and was a lifelong Mineral Point area resident.  She was married to Irwin Bennett in 1910 and they farmed in the Town of Mineral Point until retiring in 1947 when they moved to the city of Mineral Point.
      Mrs Bennett was a member of the Mineral Point Methodist Church.
      She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs Wallace Fessenfeld, Edmund, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother, Roy Rule.
