Professional research done by George Ott. Found no more information than I
already had. Research filed in seperate binder.

Need to search for cemetaries in Onondaga and Cattauragus counties New York.

Clara Cummings Shannon gives Horace's place of birth as Concord,Mass. Need her
source of information. Wrote but couldn't get anymore information. His birth is
not in the Concord birth records.

Research Knock Family said Horace was born in Concord,Middlesex,Mass and his
father was Daniel Adams and Silence Wight. Daniel was born Jan. 1745/46 in
Medway, Norfolk,Mass. and died in Watertown, Norfork, Mass. He was the son of
Elisha Adams and Rachel Daniell. Need to so some research on this information.
What was their source.

Clara Shannon is the one who put in Chloe's last name as Roba. I was unable to
find out where she got the information. Ashley's wife's first name was Roba
and I wondered if that had something to do with someone hearing the name.
Clara said she thought some one had the family bible but I never heard back
with an address or if she located it.

Obit of Benjamin Adams
Tuesday morning Oct. 13 Benjamin C. Adams, one of the pioneer settlers and a
man noted for his integrity and honor, passed quietly away on the old homestead
in Black Hawk County, which has been his home for over 42 years.
Mr. Adams, during his long residence in this vicinity, has been surrounded by a

moved to Cook County, Ill. and in the year 1840 he married Miss Arminda West.
In the year 1854 they moved to Iowa and have since resided here. He died Oct.
13, 1896 at his home in Black Hawk County, aged 81 years 10 months and 3 days.
To him was born 9 children, 5 of whom remain with his wife to mourn his loss.

Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, composed of Latterday Saints a short time
age.
The funeral services were held in the M.E. church at this place and were
conducted by Rev. Wyrick. The remains were laid to rest in the Fairbank
Cemetery.

Marriage license gives the name of wife as Lurine N. Waterman.

Found in the 1870 federal census in Fremont,Fayette,Ia with child Waittie 19 and
a child Guy 12. Found Guy Adams marriage certificate with Stephen E. Howard as
petitioner marrying in Bremer County, Ia and said Guy's mother was Leona
Waterman and father was Mark Adams. Found Mark Adams with a wife Susanna and
they had a child 3 so this could be a second marriage. Found death cert for
Lurine Adams in Chickasaw Co, Ia in 1886 which indicates Susanna was Lurina
and there wasn't a second marriage. Need to find Mark in federal and state
census in Iowa and Illinois.

Barbara note on the History of Cook County you sent that Mark W. was a soldier
in the 127th Illinois Volunteer Infantry, who died at LaGrange, Tenn. I have
of copy of this also and I took this to mean he was probably killed in the
Civil War. This Mark is a son of Guy Adams probably brother of Horace Jr.

Mark who marries Lurina is probably a brother of Horace Jr. He would have been
born in about 1817 according to the 1870 federal census and could fit right
in. He also could have been related some other way. George Ott who did the
genealogy definitely thought Guy was a brother to Horace Jr. and thought
there were more children from the earlier census records.
