Place of death taken from LDS Archive sheet filed by Lewis Leake.  Unable to
locate a death record in Ontario,Canada or Minnesota where James lived.
Lawrence Crich has date of death as 4 Mar 1907 as it is in the film of Turner
Cemetary. The headstone has date 4 Mar 1896.  Family said he died in
Blyth,Huron, Ontario, Canada but there is no record.

Research in Guisborough done by Lewis Leake who came through Margaret Carter
who married John Walker. Lewis is preparing a booklet on the research proving
the parents of George Carter.

Family bible in possession of LaRene Carter Maisak, Roy, Utah

George purchased land in Tuckersmith 6 Aug. 1845 and sold it 30th of Sept.
1872.

George, Elizabeth, Mary E. ? age 16 and Frances age 19 are living with Andrew
and Ann Carter Duff in the 1871 federal census Goderich Twp,
Huron,Ontario,Canada  family # 202 pg 46 fhl# 1,375,908. There is also a Thomas
Duff age 50 who might be a brother of Andrew.  They were both born Scotland.

George and daughter Frances are living with son Jonathan in Minnesota.  See
