Harold Chase has this child as number 2.  He is on the 1880 federal census and
sayes he is 6 yrs old. The census was taken on 8 June and he must have died
right after. There is no Mary on the census.  Charles 6, Edward 5 and Fredie 3.
I thought the cemetery book has the wrong information on Charles and Mary and
reversed ages at death for Charley and Mary.  There still seems to be a problem
as this would have made Mary born in 1879 before the 1880 census and she is not
listed.

This child is buried on the cemetary lot with Henry Louis Adams and
Margaret J. Willey.  Lot 104 page 40 Fairbank Cemetary, Fairbank, Buchanan, IA.
She is not listed in the 1880 Federal Census taken on 8th of Jun and she died
on 16 Jun.
Informant said mother of 9 with 7 living in the 1900 Federal Census
and there are 7 children listed on the census.
(Harold also has another child born in 1896 and died in 1898 I didn't use)

Mary would have been the 4th child when you evaluate the census's and I have
changed her place on the sheet and also the date of birth and death with her
brother Charles who is listed as the first child on the 1880 census and is 6
yrs old.

with a wife named Mabel C. This is her second marr as there is a stepson
listed. Alonzo A. Adams is listed as a hired man.
He is son of Horace Adams Senior and wife Cloey.

There is a record of Gilbert and Mabel getting a divorce GSF# 1,548,426
Blackhawk Co.,Ia #24185  Said married 13 Feb 1917-- Divorced 25 Sep 1922.
Cruelty and divorce granted to the wife Mabel. There is a marriage for Gilbert
and Mabel C. Pettit Emery on 9 Nov 1925 and Gilbert is living with Mabel in the
1920 census.  It look like they married, divorced and remarried. No copy of
first marriage on 13 Feb 1917 in the file.

There is also a divorce from James Watterson Emery marr. 4 July 1901 and
divorced from Mable Clair Emery 26 Jan 1917 divorce granted to wife.

April.

Marriage cert is under the name of May Adams and Edward Adams is listed as
informant.  She said she was 18 and that would make her born in 1885 and we
have her birth date as 1887.
