This proves Almiron Adams md. Maria Hostetler and they are living with her
parents and probably a sister of Maria's (Lydia) married to a Barnhouse.

Unable to locate Almiron in 1870 federal census index in Iowa.  Need to search
Twp. of Glenwood and surrounding states if he isn't in Iowa.

Searched 1880 Federal Census on CD Rom's and there was no Almiron or Almeron
Adams listed.   No Maria Adams wife of Almiron or Edward his son.

Check to see if there are death records for Winnesheik Co.,Iowa also check for
any Hostetler's.

More research needs to be done in the federal census to see if we can prove
this is Ashley's son and grandson.

1900 Federal Census Fairbank, Buchanan, IA GSF# 1,240, 420 Caroline enumrated
alone stating she was a widow and was born May 1834 other census figured out to
be 1837 same as the headstone.

18 Sep 1900 - Mrs Caroline Mc Collough died at her home in this city, Sep 11.
She was 65 yrs old.  Death of her husband occurred 6 years ago.

Independence News said 18 Sep 1900 - Guy Adams and wife of Sumner attended the
funeral of the gentleman's sister Mrs. McCullough,Thursday.

Caroline's headstone in the Buchanan Cemetery book (1980)said 1901 not 1900.

Caroline Adams McCullough-   Name of paper unknown - copy from B. Emmons
Caroline Adams was born May 15,1837 in Cattauragus County, New York. She moved
to this state when about 20 years of age.  She was married to Hugh McCullough
at Fairbank March 21, 1870.  The result of this union was one boy  Willie A.B.
McCullough, who was born January 25, 1871 at Lester, Black Hawk County.  Willie
died April 21, 1880.  The father and husband died September 5, 1895.  Mrs
Caroline McCullough united with the Methodist Episcopal Church September 20,
1896 under the administration of reverand F.H. Wyrick.  She died September 11,
1901.  Funeral M.E. Church.  Interment in Fairbank Cemetery.

   This marriage record is not in the Salt Lake Lib.  Amanda would have been 45
years old. Need to check the 1900 census.

"Mary Dewolf West born in McClain, Illinois in 1845 and died May 22, 1929 at
her home in Hayfield, MN, at the age of 84 yrs 2 m 27 d, thus closing the last
chapter of a most useful life.
She was married to Guy Adams in 1862, who preceded her in death in 1910.  To
this union was born 5 children: C.A. Adams of Meadow Grove, Nebraska; Julia
Jeanette Waggoner of fredericksbaurg, decreased; E. U. Adams and W.O. Adams,
Hayfield, Mn; and Eva Freemire of Davenport, Iowa.

In her early days she and her husband united with the Christian Church and
ever remained faithful to that belief.

A prayer service was held at her late home Sunday morning before leaving for
her former home at Fredericksburg, where the funeral was held in the Methodist
Church.

Iinterment was made in the Beautiful Rose Hill Cemetery.  Her children wish to
extend their thanks to the many friends for their kind remembrances.

There is a marriage in Blackhawk Co.,Ia for Esther A. Adams to George Barrett
Dec. 31, 1885 J-19.  Copies of this marriage is not on film at the Salt Lake
library.  Esther would also have been 42 years old. Need to check the 1900
federal census for George and Esther.
1900 federal census said Esther A. b. Oct 1855.  We have Esther as being born
in 1843.  Found George and Esther in 1920  Esther said born in Iowa in this
census and born in NY in the 1900 census.
This couple had six children and they were younger that we think Esther was.
