Check the beginning date of registered marriages in Ohio.

Charles Austin tells the story about Mary Ann Hennessey coming past Thomas
Austin's place with two children who Charles thought were probably Grace and
Charles supposedly half brother and half sister to the Thomas Austin and Mary
Ann Hennessey children.  He also thought the last name was Ahern but Lorraine
Neaves has a letter from Uncle Ed giving the last name as Ern or Hern.

This theory is not supported by the 1850-1860 federal census where there is a
daughter (Janette) born before Thomas and Mary Ann were married.  Janette gives
both the last name of Austin and Wilson on the birth records of her children.
The children also give her last name as Austin and Wilson on their death
records.

There is an index of death's for Cuyahoga County, Ohio but no copy of the death
records.
