Former Resident Dies in Madison Hospital
Funeral services for Gus Torgeson, 81, a former resident of this city, were held at the Treweek funeral Home at 1:30 pm on Saturday, with burial at Graceland cemetery.
      Gus, who worked at the Park Hotel, Madison, for the past several years as maintenance man and elevataor operator, retired about a year ago.  He passed away at the Madison Hospital.
      While in Mineral Point, he worked as an auto mechanic.  About 35 years ago he built the large garage now owned by J.E. Engels.  He was actively interested in all of the Masonic bodies of this city.
      His wife preceded him in death several years ago.  He is survived by a sister Mrs Earl Collingswood of Dodgeville.

Laura Torgeson died Jan 1, 1915 age 30 single of Heart failure following
Rhematism also had Brights disease.  She was born Apr 27 1884 in Dodgeville

who died at the beginning of the New Year, wasa buried in the Rock Church cemetery, near Doodgeville, on Sunday, Jan 3.  She was a beautiful character well beloved by all who knew her.
      The following from a distance attended the funeral:  Nr and Mrs Gust Torgrimson, Nr and Mrs. Otto Lee, Henry Quick, Wilmer Stephens, all of Mineral Point, Mr. and Mrs A. Hendrickson and daughter Mary of Ridgeway, Alf and Nels Lee of dodgeville,.
      Together with the mother, Mrs Isabelle Torgrimson, the following sisters and brothers are left to mourn her departure:  Gust Torgrimson of Mineral Point, Thomas of the town of Dodgeville, with whom she made her home:  Mrs Lena Dyreson and Mrs Agnes Collingwood, both of the town of Dodgeville.
