[It is said the Ames Aimes Amys - ets. family came from France to England.  OUr
ancestors lived in the beautiful little village of Bruton Co. Somerset Eng.
over 200 years with a population of 2,000 people which it still has.  It is
located on the river Wycke about 100 miles from London.  Because of the demand
for wool the people became weavers of the cloth, which they made in their homes
