NOTE:
Research by Gertrude L. Horlacker, Gen Soc.
Some of the ord have been redone. Only earliest date lasted.

NOTE:
Research problem. Gertrude Horlacker and Gen Society told the family representative, LaPriel Roberts, that there was an error in the family line. They informed mother that Lawrence Cottle and Sarah Lewis was not a correct connection saying that Richard Cockle Jr. and Eleanor Earl was the connection. Subsequent research conducted under her son, F John Roberts, by "Universal Genealogy Center"took exception to this decision. Checking more completely the records on site they determined that Lawrence Cottle/Sarah Lewis was in fact the correct connection. One comment being that the surname Cottle and Cockle have different originsand are not intermixed. A comple analysis of their research is found in "Universal Genealogy Center" report of 27 Jun 2004 in F. John Roberts file. As a result of this annalysis and research the Cockle line was eliminated in the family genealogy data, as enumerated in John's file, 17 Feb 2005. by F J Roberts.

Research problem. Gertrude Horlacker and Gen Society told the family representative, LaPriel Roberts, that there was an error in the family line. They informed mother that Lawrence Cottle and Mary Gilman was not a correct connection saying that Richard Cockle Jr. and Eleanor Earl was the connection. Subsequent research conducted under her son, F John Roberts, by "Universal Genealogy Center"took exception to this decision. Checking more completely the records on site they determined that Lawrence Cottle/Mary Gillman was in fact the correct connection. The above fact made invalid the SP date of William Cottle to Richard Cockle andEleanor Earl. The sealing to parents needs to be redone with correct names.
