                   NOTES:
      Died 21/24 Jun 1931

NOTES:
Gertrude Lydia Munday was sealed to her mother Harriet Naish and step father Albert Nadald.
Gertruude Nadaul: Baptized 2 Jun 1881 by William Prouse at Kanosh. [Gertrude apparently went by the name of Nadauld and not by Mundy.]
Gertrude was confirmed 2 Jun 1881 by James Abrahams,
Patron sheet for temple work gives date of death as 25 Jun 1931

Ancestral File has a FGS that puts Gertrude as a child of Albert Nadauld. Technically this is incorrect however as she is sealed to Albert she does show as a child using PAF 5 as a result of sealing ordinance.

(Medical):Farrell after the age of 65 had 4 hip operations. Two partial and two complete. As time progressed he developed an infection in one of his hips. This was an open running sore that had to be washed out every day. This was a trial for his wife. To clear up the infection he had the option of having the hipremoved and waiting for the infection to heal. This would allow his leg to dangle. After the infection was cured he could then have a new hip installed. Farrell refused to do this. He eventually was confined to a wheel chair for the last few years of his life. Being in a wheel chair had an adverse affect on his stomach. He had a stomach blockage that was not properly diagnosed by the doctorsuntil he was in the hospital and then too week to undergo an operation.

NOTE:

Kanosh Ward records have several name variation but they are the same person:
Ferrel J; John Ferrel. Leamington records list name as Farrell J.

On the "Personal Record" form filled out by Farrell and under the section of important events the following information was given:

"Attended school in the town of Kanosh, Millard Co for 7 grades living around and associating with many Indian families of that vicinity, helping lame Annie a squaw do our weekly washing, and teasing the buck Indians as they road their horses down the side walks. Proved very thrilling at times, but I love the memories.

My parents moved to Leamington, Utah, Millard Co. where I finished grade school1919 later attending the Millard Academy. Thomas L. Martin was the school principle, a lovely man still teaching at BYU.

In the yeare 1921my parents moved to Salt Lake City. I worked in the cafe business around the city for two years. When my parents moved again to their home inLeamington I went to work at the Garfield Smelter (1923). I learned the machinist trade and worked there 19 years. In that time I was married to a wonderful girl, teaching school in Garfield. I met her at a valentine dance on Friday 13,1924. Through this union was life given to 5 children, 3 boys 2 girls.

My activities in the church has consisted of the following:
President of the Fifth Quorum of Elders, Garfield Ward, Oquirrh Stake. Ward teaching supervisor, chairman of the ward genealogy committee. President of the choir. Stake Aaronic Priesthood supervisor and ward clerk for 2 years.

Built and operated a cafe at the edge of the Garfield ball park, called (Park Inn) for 8 years. [Note by Son John--8 years is not correct. The Stand (Park Inn)was built in 1939 and sold in 1944, so the cafe was operated about 5 years.]1950 I bought 4 lots and started building a home for my family what was left. Joan my oldest daughter had graduated from the University of Utah and married a returned missionary, my youngest daughter married and moved to California. WhileI was preparing to build or before, my oldest son had quit school to answer a call to the mission in South Africa.

1947 my help mate graduated from the University of Utah. With her help we finished the home, supported the boy on a mission and allso paid $ 1,200.00 for the lots. Have moved in our new home 12 Dec 1953. At present I work in the ward genealogical committee.

NOTE--Farrell wrote another history which is provided as a seperate document. He also gives incorrect date of when the Stand was sold---he said 1946 but otherrecords give 1944.

Farrell, after the age of 65, had 4 hip operations. Two partial and two complete hips were installed. As time progressed he developed an infection in one of his hips. This was an open running sore that had to be wasked out every day. This was a trial for his wife. To clear up the infection he had the option of having the hip removed and waiting for the infection to heal. This would allow hisleg to dangle. After the infection was cured or healed he could then have a new hip installed. Farrell refused to do this. He eventually was confined to a wheel chair for the last few years of his life. Being in a wheel chair had an adverse affect on his stomach. He had a stomach blockage that was not properly diagnosed by the doctors until he was in the hospital and then too weak to undergoan operation.

Notes:
                        NOTE:
In an earlier submital for temple work the year of birth was miss identified as1890. It must have appeared that baptism occured before the age of eight as theday and month of birth and baptism were exchanged on the sheet. These transformed dates have been carried on ever since on family group sheets. This temple sheet had been submitted by Farrell J. Roberts, George A's brother so they were assumed to be correct. The error was corrected by reviewing the Kanosh Ward records.

Some family group sheets also indicate that the marriage and temple sealing datetook place in Nephi, Juab, Utah--some even indicate sealing or marriage in MantiTemple.
