RESEARCH NOTE: Family records show Elizabeth Ann Clucas' parents as James Clucas and Margaret Henry. However, the death record shows her mother as Ann Peel, and the 1849 immigration info shows three Clucas immigrants, James, Ann, and Elizabeth Ann Clucas. The following facts have been gathered about the parentage of Elizabeth Ann Clucas:

1) Her death certificate lists her mother as Anne Peel, as reported by Sarah Louise Braby Mullet, the daughter in law, though this may be incorrect.
2) A DUP bio lists her parents as James Clucas and Margaret Henry, although the source of this data is unknown. James may have married Anne Peel after Margarets death.
3) Elizabeth Ann Clucas (Mullet) was sealed during her lifetime in the Endowment House to parents James Clucas and Margaret Henry
4) Upon immigrating, she is listed with James and Anne on the ship manifest
5) On the 1850 Census Elizabeth is living with James and Anne
6) Anne died in 1853, when Elizabeth was 6
7) James remarried Mary Mead in 1853 who was the widow of William Rex
8) James and Mary had daughter Mary Mead Clucas in 1854
9) On the 1860 Census are listed James and Mary, along with three of Marys sons from the previous marriage, and James daughter Elizabeth, and Mary Mead Clucas, the couples daughter together. They are living next door to James brother Thomas Clucas and his wife Ann.
10) James dies in 1864, when Elizabeth was 16.
11) Mary Mead Rex Clucas biography says nothing of her step-daughter Elizabeth and says that the family tried to make ends meet with just their boys and their one daughter, and eventually went west.
12) This suggests that after James died, Elizabeth went to live with Thomas and Ann Clucas, her aunt and uncle, at the age of 16
13) Four and a half years later, at the age of 20/21, she married Charles James Mullet and the next day left for Salt Lake.
