«/b»John Winslow - born 16 April 1597 in Droitwich, Worcestershire, England - died 1674 in Boston, Suffolk, MA - baptism 18 April 1597 in St. Peters, Droitwich, Worcestershire, England - John came from England in 1623 on the ship Fortune.  He was an agent at Kenebec 1651-1654.  The family moved to Boston in 1655 (1657-Savage) where he became a merchant and shipmaster.  The site of his house in Boston is marked with a plaque that was unveiled in 1924.  He married Mary Chilton, daughter of James Chilton and Susanna ?? 12 Oct 1624 - died 1679 - Children: Sarah, Susanna, John Winslow II, Mary Winslow, Edward, Samuel, Isaac, Joseph and Benjamin.
