Funeral Services - The funeral of George Freshwater, an aged resident of this city, who died Friday, Jan 15, 1909, was held yesterday at the home of his daughter,  Mrs. Clark Snow and the remains taken to Spanish Fork for burial.

«/b»It is believed that the fourt and fifth fingers and part of the thumb of Mr. Freshwater's hand, which was injured by the explosion of a bomb last night, may be saved.  Great sympathy is expressed for Mr. Freshwater, who is a highly repected citizen, especially as it has become known that the accident was caused by his efforts to save others from injury.  There was great danger of all the fireworks catching fire, and that the indiscriminate explosion would have resulted in dangerous accidents to the great crowd standing near.  Mr. Freshwater saw this and grabbed a bomb, which had been ignited, to throw it away from the other combustibles and while hurrying through the crowd with the bomb, it exploded, inflicting the severe injury to Mr. Freshwater's hand.
