«/b»Ray Warner Worthington, age 88, passed away October 4, 1997, in Nephi, Utah.
He was born May 11, 1909, in Nephi, Utah, to Joseph F. and Forence Amy Warner Worthington. He married his sweetheart, Lorna Kendall, June 10, 1936, in the Manti LDS Temple.He was raised in Nephi, Utah. He received his education through the Nephi school system. He received butchers training in 1936 and began his career as a butcher for Allens Cash Store, where he worked for over 45 years. He has been active in civic and political affairs. He served in the LDS Church in various positions. He was bishop of the Nephi First Ward for seven years, and also served with his wife in the Las Vegas, Nevada Mission .
Survived by his wife, Lorna of Nephi and five children; daughter-in-law, Twila Worthington of Billings, Mont.; Don Wayne (May Lou) Worthington of South Jordan, Arta June (David) Nielson of Hyrum, JoAnn (Jay) Grygla of Riverton, Kent Warner (Gloria) Worthington of Gunnison, Ranae (Dennis) Truscott of Nephi; 37 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Paul Ray Worthington, and brothers, Eugene and Henry Worthington.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, 1997, in the Nephi 2nd Ward, 222 South 100 East. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, and at the church, one hour prior to services. Burial in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.

«b»Worthingtons To Celebrate 50th Wedding«/b»
Henry and Berneice Worthington will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 13 at an open house to be given by their family at the Nephi 7th LDS Ward church. The Worthingtons will receive the public from 4:30 to 7 PM. They request that those attending bring no gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Worthington were married September 16, 1936 in the Manti LDS temple.  Worthington was born in Nephi to Joseph and Florence Warner Worthington. He was educated in Nephi and managed Allen's food store until his retirement. He has served the LDS Church as a member of a stake high council, as a bishop's counselor, and in other positions. He enjoys gardening and yard work.  Mrs. Worthington was born in Moroni to LeRoy and Edna Olsen Morley. She was educated in Moroni and has served the LDS Church as a Primary president and as a Primary and Relief Society secretary. She enjoys crocheting and embroidering.

«/b»Henry Worthington, age 84, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away October 2, 1996 in Nephi, Utah.
He was born October 10, 1911 in Nephi, Utah to Joseph F. and Florence Amy Warner Worthington. He married Berneice Morley September 16, 1936 in the Manti LDS Temple.Henry worked in Allen's Grocery Store in Nephi for 40 years. He enjoyed working at the side of his brother, Ray, and his sons during many of those years. He loved his garden and raising animals. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings.
Survived by his wife of Nephi; three sons, Ned (Maris); Jay (Nancy); and Craig (Toni); brother, Ray Worthington; adored by 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by an infant son and brother, Eugene Worthington.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 7, 1996 in the Nephi LDS 8th Ward, 222 South 100 East. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the church one hour prior to services. Burial in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
