Zella B. Carter - Tremonton - Mrs. Zella Blackett Carter, 87, formerly of Springville, Utah, died Tuesday in the Valley Hospital in Tremonton after a six-month illness.  Mrs. Carter was born 25 December 1878 in Springville, a daughter of Robert and Matilda Ostler Blackett.  She was reared and educated in Springville, where she resided until coming to Tremonton five years ago.

She was married to John S. Carter on 29 July 1895 in Springville.  He died 22 Nov 1930.  She was a member of the LDS Church.  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dan (Myrle) Briggs, Tremonton; seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 AM in the Rogers Mortuary Chapel in Tremonton.  Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 10 AM until services.  Graveside services will be held Friday at 3 PM in the Springville Cemetery.
