On Sunday night about 11:50, Grandfather Gardner Snow shook off his mortal soul and went to his Heavenly Father. The old gentleman had lived full and well spent life. He was 96 years 9 months and 2 days old. He embraced the gospel in 1830 and had seen all the persecutions of the saints being in Missouri, Kirtland, and Nauvoo and had remained fathful to the last. He came to Utah and Manti in 1850 where he has lived ever since. His children are Warren S. and George Snow, Martha Edmundson and Elizabeth Crawford all well known in this community and his grand children, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren are too numerous to mention running up into the hundreds. His life was a success and he had completed his work and was ready for the hereafter. The funeral services were held in the Tabernacle yesterday at 10 o'clock, father Wateham preached the funeral sermon. Addresses were also made by Prest. J.B. Maiben, Bp. W.T. Reid, Hans Jensen and others.
