Benjamin Bedford born, circa 739 in gloucester Co., VA. Died, June 1772. Birth (2): 1730? in Cumberland Co., VA - will: 31 May 1772. Prob of Est. 24 Augus 1772 in cumberland Co., Va. The 3rd date of birth for Benjamin is 1740 Cumberland Co, VA. Benjamin was over 14 in 1758, but under 21 years of age. Jacob Mosby became his guardian in August of 1859 and Littyleberry Mosby, Gent. was the security after the death of his father. He was appointed survey on 23 May 1761 of "the roaqd whereof Joseph Epperson was late surveyor with the uinual gang."
Benjamin inherited the homeplace from his father and died there in the old Bedford home in Cumberland County (now Powhatan) on Deep Creek.
