He resided in Rochester for many years, but removed, about 1752 to Hardwick, Massachusetts and still later in life to Pomfret, Vermont.  He married 27 June 1734, Rebecca Ewer of Barnstable who died 22 Oct 1787, ages 72 yr 5 month 28 days Pomfret was buried in "Cushing Yard."

Shubael Ewer, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Ewer, baptized 21 Sept 1690 resided at West Barnstable.  He married 14 June 1714 Rebecca Conant of Bridgewater.  He died 6 August 1715, leaving an estate apprized at L152, a widow Rebecca and one daughter.

Rebecca born 27 April 1714.  She married, June 27, 1734, Thomas Winslow of Rochester.
