   Thornbury is only a few miles north of Glastonbury, Gloucert, England which is probably the home of Thomas Holbrook. Will date 1571 at Norton Mareward: To Thomas Holbrooke by son L5 and a colt, to William Holbrooke by son L5, to my son John the younger L5, to my daughter Margery L10, to Thomas Holbrooke by son the interest and title of my estate lease of a fea farm in Compton Dando and the heirs of his BOdy in default to my son John the younger and his hiers and in default to my son William an his heirs and in default to my son Robert and his heirs in default to the Farm of Compton Dando and wone Tenement called Cases with on Cottage called Busshes, to my son William the least of the Park of Compton Dando, to my son Robert a waine and 4 oxen &c. my son Robert shall suffer Edith Holbrooke my wife to have use of the said farm Compton Dando with the tenement and cottage during her life or widowhood paying yearly to my son 12/-. my son William and my Wife shal not fell or sell no manner of Trees in the said park, my son Thomas shall have 1 hose best found in the Park or elsewhere in the Farm of Compton Dando Winter and Summer during his life. If my son Robert or WIlliam die without heirs then said Park of Farm remain to my son John the Younger, residue to Edith my wife and appoint her executrix.
