                   Note: Richard Jr. Otis, Like his father, was a master blacksmith. Richard
Jr.S urvived the massacre of 1689 but was wounded in the attack of 1696.
Hi s wife, Susannah gave birth to their son Nicolas in on Apr 8 1701 so R
ichard Jr. must have died towards the end of 1700. His widow Susanna h
administered his estate in 1701-02 and was appointed guardian of 5 m inor
children all underthe age of 14 in 1704. Susannah was at least 1 7yrs
his junior which leavesroom to speculate that Richard Jr. may hav e been
previously married. There are no records to indicated this howev er.
